Rosscarbery & The West Cork Area
Rosscarbery is a small village located one hour to the west of Cork city, between the market towns of Clonakilty and Skibbereen. The village is home to all amenities you will need for your holiday including dining (from take-way to casual to haute-cuisine), supermarket, pubs, antiques, arts & crafts, hotel (with fitness, pool & spa), public tennis courts and a children's playground right across the road from the cottage.
There are a host of activities available within a stone's throw. A number of bathing beaches lie nearby including the Warren, Owenahincha and Tralong Bay. The picturesque fishing harbour at Glandore is a short trip to the south west and is a great spot to while away a few lazy hours.
Further west the popular town of Schull serves as a landing and departure point for various islands. The famous Mizen Head is the most south westerly point in Ireland and an intrepid trip across the bridge to visit its signal station is not to be missed.
